Our Services
I went to the Mega Skills and Active Teen Parenting Training to be able to facilitate Parenting Workshops after school. While teaching elementary grade level I taught Mega Skills that gave parents strategies to work with their child or children at home. The Parents appreciated obtaining new knowledge and information that was in the book to expand their understanding on how to implement it with their child(ren). We were able to share real-life scenarios with each other. They were also given exercises and activities to take home to implement with their child and the following week they were given an opportunity to share and discuss the outcome.
The Active Teen Parenting Training helps Parents understand what their teenagers are going through and how to relate to this generation. This workshop gives parents strategies and interventions to implement with their teenagers. The Parents appreciated giving them an opportunity to share with each other, reminding them they are not alone and giving them true experiences that I went through with my teenager. After the six weeks of training the Parents were asking if I could continue the workshop until the end of the year, because they enjoyed learning strategies that were working.
